REACH Compliance

The European Union’s REACH Directive (EC 1907/2006) imposes requirements for the Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of Chemical substances and products sold in the EU Countries.

While Storm Power Components is not a legal entity in the EU and therefore legally has no requirements to comply with REACH, there have been multiple requests from customers for information in regards to REACH and therefore it is market pressure and not legal obligation which impacts Storm Power. Storm Power Components manufactures products defined as “articles” by the directive. These articles do not release substances under normal use.

Storm Power Components also recognizes its responsibility to provide customers with information on Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs) defined on the REACH Candidate List which are present in concentrations greater than 0.1%.

Storm Power Components does not intentionally add any of the listed SVHCs in the manufacture of its products and has in place controls on the raw materials that preclude unintentional use. Storm Power Components does not directly test for these SVHCs, but assures its customers that all products comply with the REACH requirement.

Storm Power Components monitors additions to the SVHC Candidate List to ensure that our products continue to comply with the regulations.
